Comments:

The project started Aug. 2002 and finished Feb 2003 (3 months late) Summary of problems: 1) The new home was built crooked. The south-east corner is 4 to 6 inches lower than the north-west corner. This causes the windows and doors to ?jam? during use. 2) Central Air was supposed to be installed into the whole house ? only the new portion got AC ? but I paid for the entire house. 3) The design called for an 8ft high garage ? a 7ft garage was built without any discussion from the GC. 4) The foundation was installed without any prior compacting of the soil. The house is now sinking along the new foundation and water is leaking into the new basement and soaking the basement walls and floor. 5) Double payments for correcting building mistakes made by the GC 6) The GC would purchase new equipment, charge me for the items, then return the items and keep the refunds. 7) Did not finish the grading around the house ? the result is that water now ?pools? close to the house and is seeping into the basement and causing problems to the foundation walls. * there are so many problems, the list above is just the first most damaging that come to mind.
