We *thought* Beazer was one of the top builders in our area. That's why we sold our Forecast home and bought a Beazer. We fell in love with the floorplan and our lot. We began paperwork to buy the house only 3 days after the phase opened. Everything progressed smoothly for some time. Then we went to the design center to pick out our interior details. We inquired about a jetted tub and surround sound speakers. The designer told us that those items were dealt with at the sales office. We went to the sales office immediately and were told it was too late to make those upgrades. What the? We were there 3 days into the selling! Evidently it was too late even before the phase opened. So that was the first issue we had with Beazer. We had some seriously weird SoCal weather last winter with record-breaking rain. We can't blame them for not finishing the house on time in those conditions...so that issue is understandable. The serious issues began when we first entered the house at our walk-through. We have quite a lot of ceramic tile in the house. Every bit of the grout was already ruined. It was supposed to be a brownish color. It appears that they either didn't mix it correctly, didn't finish it correctly, or cleaned it incorrectly. The color is sort of grayish/blueish in most areas with a few small spots where it looks almost correct. It's so embarrassing to show people our new (EXPENSIVE) house and they assume we actually chose this color of grout to go with our tan tile. Ugh. Everytime Beazer people come out to address the grout issue, they tell us it looks really bad and it's going to be a big job. So...yes...we know this already! FIX IT! Other issues...carpeting is lifting where it joins with all areas of tile. Seams are terrible. Plywood floor under the carpet was not cleaned prior to laying the pad (8#) and carpet. We are left with nails and other hard lumps under our carpet. Beazer actually came out to fix this problem and I watched! They had piles of drywall mud under our carpet and nails sticking up all over the place. Bullnose corner edging and window frames are coming away from the drywall in many places. Nails are falling out of the ceiling. Spindles on our staircase are loose and have exposed nails sticking out. Light fixture is broken in one bathroom. Oak cabinetry was installed poorly...lots of cracked wood from nailguns. Window locks are just plain flimsy. Caesarstone counter edging is coming apart already. Now the exterior issues...there is a HOLE in our stucco. It's big enough to put your fist through...if not bigger. We can't really see it up close because it is way up close to the eaves...just waiting for birds to roost in it. The whole stucco job is a wreck. We've had the house 3 months and the cracking is awful. We're not new to stucco...we know it cracks. But wow...this is pretty radical for such a new house. The paint job on the stucco is sloppy and unfinished. The iron gate on the side of the house is covered in stucco and still missing caps on the top. Same with the circuit breaker box and our side garage door...covered in stucco slop. Now let's discuss our customer care representative. Boy, do I wish I could publish his name. He scheduled our contractors to come on a particular date between the hours of 8am and 12pm. We were told that they would all come during those hours to start making our repairs. NOT ONE showed up during those hours. One guy showed up at 6:45 AM...yes...that's AM!!!! He came to align our fireplace doors that would barely close. Then the other guy came at 2pm with one bucket of paint to touch-up outside. This house has about 4 colors on it...so what sort of work can he do with one bucket? So...my husband took off on this date to be home for these workers. He lost a lot of money for nothing! He called our customer care representative to ask why the rest of the contractors didn't show. The rep told us that he never promised they'd all show up. Following that...the customer care representative HUNG UP on my husband! He was on a cell phone...so we gave him hours to call back in case he drove through an area without cell coverage. However, now it's been a month and he still hasn't called back. We have tried to contact people above this representative and finally got some guys out here to fix the carpet (that is messed up again since they were here 2 weeks ago) and a guy to fix the woodwork. Now we haven't heard a thing from them in 2 weeks. I have again tried calling people but cannot get anyone to return my calls. It's time for a nastygram. We bought this house with a strong recommendation from a close friend. We love his house! It's beautiful. It's just across the golf course from ours. It appears to be built very well. He has nothing bad to say about Beazer at all. I guess they just got lazy by the time they got to our house. I don't know. I sure wouldn't recommend Beazer at this point though. Good luck to those of you that choose to have Beazer build your dream home!

Regarding the realtor, we had ended up with a second person. The first was very rude and didn't answer any questions, always said no to everything asked. The second realtor was great very professional, handle all the questions. throughout the process and to current. The second realtor has been the only enjoyable experience with beazer homes. We have alot of things that are not correct or need to be fixed, it has been 6 months since we first sent in a request for repairs. Only a couple got fixed and they were just minor repairs all the others that aren't minor we are still waiting. We have dealt with three rep's so far the city has come out once (we called because nothing was being done). The worst part is throughout the years we have heard that beazer is one of the best, if something is wrong they fix it quickly and they are very much into customer service. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed at both the construction and customer service. You would think for a $500,000 home it would have at least some quality to it (even in a tract home environment) which is what we are told several times when we explain some of the things. We have been patient, even though we have to always call to get in touch to find out if anything is going to be done and about when. I feel that 6 months is a bit long to wait. Now, we are at our end. Tired of waiting, would love to see just an once of that so called one of the best builders known attitude.
