We have lived in the house for 8 years and STILL have things that the builder never came back to fix. We just had to learn to "live with it". They used the cheapest possible materials they could find. They cut corners whenever they could. Examples include only putting one nail in each shingle- so those fly off anytime the wind blows down to not painting the tops of door frames, etc. - the list goes on.
