Could be a good builder if they cared about the buyer.
The builder has the potential to be quite good if they would care about their customer. I do realize that when building a home that not everything will be perfect, I have come across stuff like that and shrugeed it off. However, there were some items that could have been dealt with, nothing major and were resolvable, but the builder chose not to follow through and make right on the problems. In fact, they didn't even want to follow up with warranty work towards the end of the warranty. I ended up with some issues that never got resolved and I ended up giving up. I know some other people in the community also had some issues and weren't happy, but that's for them to tell. If the builder would have followed up with the work and made some kind of effort to have good customer service my opinion of them would be completely different. But I doubt that'll change. Before I bought the home I was warned about the builder from others who had similar problems.
But, if you want a builder who just wants your money and isn't worried about customer satisfaction these are the people for you.
Now some other things I need to mention. First, CDG is no long the builder for Manor Oaks. The development was sold to GemCraft homes. I haven't dealt with them so I can't comment. I'd also like to add that I am happy with my home and my community, I only had problems with the builder giving me the run around.
