Comments:
Our negative comments about "the builder" are based on the person who is the between us and the builder themselves, the contruction supervisor. Our overall experience with the actual "builder" is a good one but we determined early in the build process that the construction supervisor determines how well things will go for you. He is the liaison between you, the builder and the subs and his attitude and commitment towards a job well done and communication with you when you have questions or comments will determine how well you are informed and how well your home is built.
In our case, there was no communication until we went above the construction supervisors head and complained about the areas where we continued to see degraded sub work and where we found he was willing to sign off on anything just to get past that point and then the work ended up being re-done when it wouldn't pass inspection, either by us or the county.
Overall we are happy with the quality of products used in our home, the amount of time it took to complete the home and most of the work done to our home. We have been happy with the service by M/I when they returned to complete the 90 inspection and fix the items we'd flagged as problems. We still have some outstanding issues but are waiting on the weather to break so those can be addressed.
