Syncon Homes Numerous Construction Defects, Terrible Customer Service & Lies.

Be real careful if you're considering a Syncon Home. We have serious water and infiltration problems. Syncon just wants to put a "bandaid on a bullet hole" instead of fixing the problems right. They violated the siding company instructions and violated building codes on other components, like the foundation and water pipes. They provide lip service but don't fix the problems right, or don't fix the problems at all. They try to fix them cheap, but that doesn't bring their failures up to code. They have forced us to pursue remedies in the courts, which we didn't want to do. One reason ahs to do with freezing water pipe in the house. According to Sycon personnel, "It's normal for pipes to freeze in this area." That's a direct quote for a problem they were notified about back in Dec 2007. All through the winter, they pipes kept freezing and they made no attempt to fix them. They left us no choice but to take them to court for all the problems. Knowing what we know now, we'd live in a tent before ever buying a Sycon-built home. They promise in their written materials, including on their website, that they "build superior homes" and "quality homes." It hasn't turned out to be true. In other words, they lied, which should warn you about what to expect in the future if you buy something from them. I'd rather deal with the problems with a tent than the lies from Syncon Homes. Be careful, very very careful!!! The best way to do that is to stay far away from them.
