New Does Not Mean Perfect!!!!
I have a nice home, however, there were mistakes made. The rough-in for our bathroom in the basement was put in the wrong area. By the time we found out about it, it had already been concreted in, and it could not be fixed. It makes me sick every time I look at it. We were to have sliding windows in the basement, the wrong ones were installed. Again, we were told it could not be fixed. We were to have a 6 foot sliding door going out to the deck. They gave us a 6 foot door, but in the wrong area. To attemp to correct the problem, we have a 5 foot door, in the correct area. Our floor plan shows a planter shelf above the staircase, but my home did not get one. I was told they didn't know I wanted it, And of course it was too late to give me one. The concrete on our front porch has foot prints in it, because the workers walked on it before it dried. It also has the imprint of pieces of cardboard they layed before it dried. The vinyl in my kitchen was not glued at the seams. It is raised up, and I tend to catch my toes in it. We have lived in our house for 23 months, and I am still waiting for repairs to take place.
