BUYER BEWARE!!!! When your windows leak, your doors stick, your foundation cracks, and your yard doesn't drain, you will have absolutely no recourse but to fork out thousands in attorneys fees to fight the big monopoly that these people have over Liberty, MO! Be aware everything in your home is going to be the cheapest of the cheap and if you want to upgrade to better quality, they will double the cost and probably not install it because "it wasn't documented by the realtor in a change order" Isn't it funny how the cost of the upgrades don't get lost like the materials do??? So before putting any money down on one of these homes, consult an attorney with all the documents you are presented, ask for their warranty in writing, or better yet....find another home that they haven't had their hands on! I can not stress this enough.....don't buy one of these homes!! It will be a nightmare if you do.

My sale on a Serrano Townhome flipped and now Liberty Homes is refusing to release my earnest money. The contract they signed stated a refundable earnest deposit and it was contingent upon financing. They have been informed they have to release the earnest money but are refusing. I made the mistake of using a realtor who works for the same broker that carries the Serrano listings and have been getting no help from any of the agents involved in this contract. Liberty Homes will not give any reason for their refusal to sign the release. The townhome I was going to purchase was the model and the hallway floor developed a large gap in the vinyl flooring that would have to have been replaced. I also noticed some of the doors "stuck" and a bathroom fan was not working.

This was the worst experience I could ever imagine! The builder was incredibly rude and wouldn't discuss anything with us. Everytime we wanted to ask about something we were directed to the realtor who couldn't answer our questions. The allowances were so low that EVERYTHING we picked was out of our budget, so the home ended up cost 39% more than was originally indicated. Our windows leak, the dishwasher leaks, the hot and cold water are hooked up backwards, the foundation is cracking in several spots, walls are out of square, the driveway is sloped sideways and the concrete is pulling away from the house, the lot was improperly graded so water stands outside the back door and leaks into the basement, we asked for an oversized garage door so we could get our SUV inside but never got it, (so our car sits in the drive), there is a hump in the floor in the master bedroom, closet doors stick because everything is out of level and the builder will not even return our calls!! I am sure we will end up suing Liberty Homes as it is obvious they have no intention of correcting any of these problems. I'm looking forward to getting them in court!
