We purchased this house after it was almost completed. Our realtor had tried numerous times to contact the builder, for us, we would have like to had some additional things done before the closing on our home, but the builder never would return her calls. When we did the walk threw it was pouring down rain out side, the grading and the sod had not been done yet. I had asked about the grading, because of concerns about water run off, we are at the bottom of several homes. I was told they would grade the property so there would be no problems. But, I could not enjoy my back yard last summer because of the insects and standing water! 7 months later I am now being told that they will not guarantee that I will ever have a dry back yard. They will not do anything about this problem unless water stands for 3 days? A lawn that has never been dry all summer and grass that squishes when you walk threw it, does not count! This is just one of the problems that we are having with this builder. I would not recommend this builder to any of my friends, mainly because of their lack of follow up and the fact that the word does not mean anything (I was told, by the builder, I should have have it in writing).
