Benchmark is not really a Custom home builder. We made some changes from the model and they struggled to provide any design services that would accommodate. They gouged us for some built-ins that I could have gotten for almost half the price if I had done them after the fact. Their communication is terrible and it felt to me that they were in over their heads all along the way. Their sub's didn't really appear to have much communication from the project manager (if there was one, other than myself). I would not recommend this builder to anyone I know. If it weren't for their sales rep, I would have told them to take a long walk on a short road mid-way through the process.
