MI Homes has the worse after-sale support I have ever seen. I have owned other builder's homes and they are by far the worse. They push warranty issues off, loose paperwork, and stall just to get you to the 1-year point at which time they tell you you're out of warranty, there's nothing they can do. We have cracks in our foundations, the carpet and tile were laid over concrete which is now cracking and numerous other small-to-large issues. None of which are being addressed at all. They have fixed three small items in one year: 1) a piece of wood trim, a smoke detector and an outdoor water adapter. That's it. Missing roof shingles, cracks in foundation and sidewalk, bumps under the carpet, Air Conditioner sinking into the ground and numerous other serious issues remain unresolved. It doesn't matter that you told them 9 months many of these things much earlier at the 90-day walk-thru, they lost the paperwork from that time and stall until the 1 year point where they can say...."you're out of warranty". I would never recommend a home to anyone from MI unless it was an investment property only and you weren't going to live it. If you want quality and after-sale support, this is NOT the builder for you.
