Modular House
We don't actually live in Wilmington, NC. We are in Brunswick County and there is a building boom here. The county is growing very fast. The house is a modular. The average time between the start of a house and the time the owners move in is running at least 12 months; some are going as long as 18 months. Choosing a modular was the best thing we ever did. The time from closing on the construction loan to move-in was only a little over 5 months. We are not in a development; we purchased 1.6 acres across the street from our daughter and son-in-law. It is a semi-rural area and there aren't a lot of neighbors; most houses are on at least an acre of land. But we have met some of the neighbors and like the area.
