He threatened to sell our house to someone else if we didn't give him extra money. (We were under contract of course). We sued him for specific performance and he agreed to let us find another builder to finish our house since he didn't have the funds to complete the house. We had three different builders look at the house and a structural engineer as well. The engineer had plenty of suggestions since the retaining wall of the walk out basement had a huge crack down one whole wall. All three builders told us to run away from this house as fast as we could. They saw too many structural problems for me to mention here. We lost a year waiting on this house to be finished plus legal fees when we dropped the suit since we were no longer interested in getting this house even though it was on the lot we had specifically searched for and really wanted. This house is currently on the market for sale. I hope whoever looks at it sees this entry.
