I have to admit that building a home with Windward was not a bad experience. I had to be out of an apartment on a certain date and Windward made sure that the home was ready on time, actually ahead of time. All the issues on the punch list were fixed within days, even had to have an entire floor re-done. Hardwood floor company used wrong glue and it seperated and cracked, but Windward fixed it quickly. I worked in construction for 7 years prior to building this home and know all about delays, Windward overall did a great job.

Comments:

Windward homes was to install a community center or play ground. They however, failed to do so and stated in writing that there was never any intention of doing so. It is in writing that there was to be a "Bloomingdale Ridge Playground" in our signed notorized documents, however they say no. At the end of the construction project they allowed homes to be built out of standard, another words we had a set of plans to go by (colors, homes, elevations, etc) to get the project completed they allowed anything. They hire unskilled labor and management. (I got nervous when construction crews came onto my property to my measure windows so that they could build a simular home two lots down.)

The different subcontractors employed by Windward Homes performed substandard service even at the time when they had to come back to do repair work. Contractors were not courteous and were disrespectful of neighbors already living in the vicinity by trashing the streets and leaving their work sites untidy. While homes were been developed, no efforts were made to protect the building materials from the rain and often times already built home?s windows and doors were left open for the rain to soak the inside of the homes.
