Do not buy Ryland Homes, I am in the process of buying Ryland home and VERY disappointed with their service! due to too many broken promises. I wish I could back out from the contract and get my $18,000 deposit back!

Terrible builders. No quality control, inconsistent. Materials used were fine but the workers had no pride in workmanship. Jobs were rushed. difficult to communicate with the workers due to lack of english speaking ability. I had a "lemon house"!! Everything from a leaking roof, leaking sinks, had to completely redo a bathroom due to leaks within the walls. poor cement work, chipped and cracked garage and porch. out of electrity due to faulty wiring job. wrong sink upgrades, did not upgrade the garage as paid for then never finished it - told to finish it on my own. Extra lighting fixtures with no switch connected. Covered windows with sheet rock (window on the outside - but no window inside)painted areas, chipped shower pans, cracked windows, missing chunks of wood from upgraded wood cabinets. Closed on house before finishing it. you name it - i had a problem with it. Would have had less problems buying used house than a new Ryland house.
