Warranty Dissatisfaction

Need to communicate better with subcontractors who do the warranty work at the 1 year anniv. of buying your home. Very poor communication between HH, the homeowner and the subcontractors as to what EXACTLY needs to be done prior to subcontractors coming into the home to do the work (i.e. moving all furniture, EVERYTHING needs to be listed on the sheet that you want done, how long the process will take, etc.) Also, HH needs to communicate more clearly w/ subcontractors re: times & appointments with the homeowner to do said repairs. Basically, subcontractor came in at 8 am to fix floor, left, then HH person came in to do repair to floor that he needed the previous subcontractor to help him with, didn't realize he'd already been and gone, so it had to be rescheduled. Not on the same page obviously!

Comments:

Our home was delayed due to boundary lines issues. Infact, 10 homes were delayed. Receiving information from the builder was something I had to initiate. They rarely made the effort to share updates. Also, I made numerous trips to the city building department to find out the real story. At no point did they offer me any compensation for my losses. Legally, Harbour does not have to provide updates or compensation for the delay. I expected that they would recognize this delay was their fault and provide at least an apology.
