Nightmare
Some "minor" problems were taked care of in a reasonable amount of time. A major problem surfaced, and the builder's reaction was "so sue me". We had an engineering firm review our problems (ground water surfacing) Our crawl space was filled, got into the heat ducts and collapsed them -- it cost us $3500 to replace them and we had to buy a pump and rent another -- we pumped aprx. 5 million gallons of water off the property the first time. The engineer says the house was built 27" below required code. House needs raised. He opened the "envelope" and says all siding, windows should come out, and only aprx 20% of windows are salvagable. Also roof should be replaced.
