Building in Maine

We used our builder for the first of two buildings and will use him again this summmer when we start the main house. The first structure was a lovely red "barn" with an apartment upstairs for us to use as we wanted for vacations and when build the main house which will be started this summer (2007). The "barn " was fully finished up stairs and down and completely furnished as a fully equipment housing unit with one bedroom, bath and full kitchen. Also a living room/dining area and a deck overlooking the ocean and a brook. The builder is an independent builder that we used as suggested by our architect. They did the entire project with little on site visits as we were 800 miles away. We picked out all the appliances, flooring ( hardwoods and tile) and amenities in 2 or three days. It was a great fun project and is a wonderful place to spend time.
