More than 9 months behind schedule. There was no communication regarding delays, in fact when I tried to contact them they ignored calls. I closed the loan on my home because I was going to lose my rate (MY stupid error) - then when I went to the house it was not habitable. I had to wait another 10 days to move in and then there were still many things that needed repair. The stucco in my home had so many cracks that it looked like a hundred year old home. I had to take them to arbitration which I won for most of the items we disagreed upon. Watch out - don't engage their services.

This was our first home purchase and after dealing with this builder, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The workmanship is very poor and their follow up is even poorer. We have been told that the problems in our home are due to settling and it is simply homeowner maintenence. I dont think so, the carpet is lifting away from the subfloor and there are various lumps and dips in the upstairs carpet. There are carpet nails left sticking up through the floor. There are nails coming through the ceiling and doorframes. The bullnose corners throughout the house are carcking and pulling away from the walls. The recessed lighting is no longer recessed, the lights are falling out of the ceiling. This is just the interior, the outside...the stucco is falling off in various places. There are huge gaps between the stucco and the roofline. Did I mention we've only been in this home since July! The house isn't even a year old yet! When the representative from Lakemont came out the first time he assured us everything would be fixed. Well, he was fired from the company and the new guy said those were old issues and nothing could be done to resolve them. We had to start the process all over and he'd get back to us asap, that he had to check with the home office. Well when he got back to us, he said everything fell under normal homeowner maintenence. No, I would definately not recommend Lakemont to anybody and if you are considering purchasing one of their homes please think twice. They have already had a lawsuit brought against them in Oakdale, CA. I'm not sure of the outcome on that case. Our home is in Escalon and I know they are now currently building in and around the Sacramento area as well as in Nevada.
