Asmus Home Builders are incompetent and rude and lacing in quality and craftsmanship.
Our storage area flooded - our personal property was damaged and or destroyed the builder promised to replace items but then refused - the drainage was inadequated. Nails are poppling out of the walls and woodwork. The custom built ins were never completed. Our builder's interior designer badmouthed us to trademen and our custom tile was not ordered by her as per our order and we had to fight to get it done properly. The tile does not come down to where the range is and bre wall sticks out around the stove and looks stupid. The house was stuccoed in the wrong color and the garage doors were painted the proper color - they kept having the painter come back and repaint the garage door until he got mad after the fourth time and painted the garage doors the same color as the house which was not the color we chose. We were not rebated for items we didn't get like celing fans and we were charged for items we didn't get and we didn't get itmes we ordered and substitions were made like a plastic utilty sink for a cast iron one taht was selected. The walls were supposed to be a flat surface and all of them were treated with orange peel - the sheet rock was not as thick as it was supposed to be. The drainge is not correct. Trees taht would get big were planted next to the house. The interior designer ignored many of the selections we made and argued with us. The builder and his foreman lied to us. Neither of them took responsiblity for not showing up when we calle dthem when the house flooded - they refused to pay for clean up - Tehn they built two houses with the exact smae floor paln next to urs and put in alot of upgrades then they built huge houses behind us when they promised that the houses behind us would be only one story and they are three storys and have upper level pations that stare down into our yard and we have no privacy. OUr custom cabinets were not made to spec they are different colors - the ruter work was sloppy and there are router burns in the front the tops were not sanded smotth and there a nail holes all over the front and really crappy router work in the expensive custom cabinets and we had to have them redone three times and they just got worse and worse and they wouldn't replace them or give us our money back. The lining of the glass fixtures on all of our chandiliers is falking out and it is almost like being snowed on all the time. There is inadequate light in the powder room even though we specifically asked for an abundance of light ineach room and did not want dark dim room - there is a electirc socket on the wall avoe the kitchen instead of the follor and it looks stupid. All of the switch plates and face plates are bright white when our rooms are painted an orangy tan - it looks so dopey!!! The sprinkler system doe not work prpoerly and we have had to spend at least 700 per year each year just to get it to start up. Our neighbors installed their yard so that their plants encroach up our flower beds and are ruining them - I hate this house and I would never ever reccomend our builder to anyone or their dog - he treated us awful - Tehre is so much else that is wrong with this house - I could go on and on -
