Our Townhouse was poorly constructed. We have had electrical issues, water problems, roof problems, the builder did not have insulation installed in return we had frozen pipes multiple times.Trying to get these people to correct their mistakes was worse then pulling teeth. Baseboards do not match. We have two types of baseboard all in the same rooms...The concrete porch slants in towards the house which in turn causes water to flow into the basement when it rains. Landscaping was not done properly. Ground was not tampered. We actually found a 8 foot diameter hole in the ground beside our house where water was going down and into the basement. The roof had exposed rafters and there we had water running down between our wall and neighbors into our basement. Heating system was not set up correctly. We were not getting heat most of the first winter we were here. Also plumber failed to connect the heating vent in the hall bathroom since day one...that explained the lack of heat there. But the builder had shotty thermostats installed and that was one problem in regard to the heat, another had to do with some type of pressure not set correctly? The builders failed to set up the Home Owners Association as mandated with the state. And has also been in violation with such. Water pressure was set too high. Builder does not live up to the warranty on the home. He avoids the issue until the warranty is up then claims we are no longer under warranty? He would never return phone calls. Constantly giving a song and dance for any issues presented to him. Common area has not been landscaped correctly , in turn there is muddy run off into the drive. Roof gutters were installed incorrectly. Some parts were actually in backwares. Builder failed to rectify accordingly . His solution was to have a roofer com and drill a hole in our rain spout! There was also a portion of the roof where the wood was never nailed down before shingling etc. This contractor / builder is definitely a fly by nite operation. They are here in Pennsylvania building but reside in Maryland. And those in Maryland refuse to respond to any correspondence at this point. I would NEVER reccomment this builder to anyone. Not even my worse enemy. There are many safety violations as well. The original code inspector did not do his job. He passed things that should have never been passed. Actually he never inspected the house. That inspector has since been fired.
