A Nightmare in trying to move in, and then all the repairs needed.
carpeting was not laid in a timely manner prior to closing..had to be on top of all the completiion up until closing..then was denied the key..when escrow had closed. All fixtures were replaced by me, as they were not secured properly or wired correctly. Raw wires were not covered. Plumbing leaks were in the shower and under the kitchen sink. Stapled gun on plasterboard showed through all of the master baths, they have never been repaired. Repairs were slow, overspray of the drywall was covering all of the kitchen floors. Inappropriate placement of the master closet light switch. It as placed behind the door of the closet that closed inward, thus having to go into a dark closet and closing the closet door and then finding the lighswitch. We had to remove the door and replace it with a accordian door. The forced air heater did not work when we moved in..we had to pay for the shipping of the part needed, was to be reimbursed by the builder..never has happened to this date. Too many unnecessary repairs for a new home..and had to be on the phone too much to the reps. They were bad at communicating with us or returning our calls.
