I would not recommend DR Horton to anyone. The customer service is completly lacking. Notice of problems go un-noticed and they are not responsive to either written or verbal contact. We moved in a month ago, and are still waiting for items from the walk-through to be fixed. Even thorugh they are still building the last few homes just down the street - they can't seem to get here to fix what they should be fixing. The worst experience of my life! This is our 2nd home that we've built - and I never imagined that dealing with a builder could be so difficult.
