Mistakes Not Corrected - Builder does not Abide by Contract

Builder did not monitor construction closely. Our driveway entrance ended up on the neighbor's property even though the builder had a survey and there was a permanent marker present. She has tried to make us responsible. She then moved the driveway without permission from the Road Commission and incurred violations. Many mistakes were made on site and not corrected. Cement that needed a drain was poured without one and not rectified. At least one contractor was working from a preliminary set of plans, so we have not received what we contracted for such as lighting that appear on our plans, correct ampheres to our electric box and a phone line to our outbuilding. Contractor refuses to fix punch list items and is unreachable. Some are major, such as doors that don't open properly, doors that don't close, doors that don't lock, missing dryer vent, screened-in porch not finished, many siding issues, front stairs and rear stairs, a terrible grade, substandard driveway with large crushed concrete as a top coat, and many missing items with no credit or correction. The contractor let us live for over a month in the home without front steps or rear steps that were required to be corrected as soon as possible per code. Personal leaded glass windows that we purchased outside of the contract were broken as they were not installed immediately as the contractor had said. Instead they were moved around the site carelessly during painting and subsequently broken. The windows were then removed without permission from the site to have them repaired. Contractor lied and said they did not fit the space and did not inform us of the damage. This contractor spent money that we did not approve ahead of time and then demanded payment. The contract was applied inconsistently and contractor neglected to put critical things in writing. Questions that we asked went unanswered for months as contractor told us we asked too many questions. Contract completion time was exceeded which was six months, we moved in with the house not finished at 9 months and the home is still not finished at 10 months and builder will not return phone calls. We were never informed when things would occur and builder never stuck to the schedule that she verbally gave us. Contractor claims to be a "green" builder but burned treated lumber on the site, thinner was dumped near our well head, trash was never contained and blew all over our property and the neighbor's property, and window locks were missing on many windows all winter long with heat excaping. We received a huge heating bill. Currently, there are three unpaid subcontractors and builder has taken 90% of profit. Other problems are too lengthy to mention here!
