This house is now 6 months old. The basement floor has risen causing the steel posts to push the I beams up causing the living floor to rise (ranch). The windows are racked, the dry wall is cracked, cracks are appearing across the ceiling, one of the doors won't close and is about 3" from the jam because the joist below is pushing the floor up. The beams in the attic are cracking and breaking. The garage floor is rising, the front porch is rising causing havoc. The brackets holding the garage door are bending causing the tracks to misalign. The front door can't be used because it is being pulled off the hinges, the basement has cracks and leaks when it rains, the basement window is cracked, the Ibeams are bent, the furnace is being pushed up causing the ductwork to become smashed up. The joists are no longer being supported and about 15 of them are split and cracked. The inner doors are out of alignment, etc. etc. I could go on. This house is rapidly becoming unsafe. I have been trying since July 2006 for pulte to find out what is causing the problem. The builder only wanted to fix the drywall by the basement door and the door into the garage that wouldn't close. Only after I was on television did they hire a geo tech person to test the soil (which should have been done before building). This problem with the soil/foundation I have to believe was known while this house was being constructed since the lot next to this house was never built past the basement and flatwork stage. This basement is also cracking, rising and causing problems. Read more on my web site: http://www.geocities.com/myllamas/CCFL/pulte.htm This house has insurmountable damage that is beyond a reasonable amount to money to fix. Regardless this house will always have the stigma of having serious structural defects and would be very difficult to sell and that is saying if it ever could. Pulte has fought me every bit of the way and either tell me there is nothing wrong with the house or that when I say it is falling apart am told, "It is my opinion." Would I buy another home from this builder? What do you think?

I have had nothing but issues with the house built for my wife and I. Leaking windows, water running inside the siding, etc.. While I know that there will always be problems with a new house Pulte has been a nightmare. We have been asking Pulte for over 2 years to fix issues related to water running under the siding everytime it rained only to have them tell us that we were just hearing things and to come to find that 20 - 30 homes had the same problem in or community.. We have also been attempting to have issues with our windows (they leak) fixed only to have come back after 2 years and say that we would have to pay for the fix... Well we are now with an attorney and letting him try to settle this... Commitment to the Home Owner?? Only if they Caught and you can prove their errors. Want to know about Pulte... Email me.
