Our home had poorly designed air conditioning system that caused us numerous problems. Have an independent HVAC company inspect your system BEFORE closing. Pulte's HVAC contractor was at our house numerous times before and after the warranty costing us thousands of dollars. Our system never cooled adequately and so we decided to sell and move to a better built home. Use a good inspector, we didn't and regretted it for five years!

Pulte Homes sold us our home with an Energy Efficient Guarantee, which included low utility bills. Our home is now 20 months old, our air conditioner has never worked properly after dozens of attempts by the builder to fix and we have extremely high electric bills. Pulte has finally agreed to fix our home, but will only give us $6,000 of the min. $11,000 to rectify the problem correctly by a reputable HVAC Company. However, Pulte's HVAC Company will do the work on our home, but the system they have proposed is sub par and carries high risk of mold potential - of course, Pulte wants us to sign a release protecting them from any mold damage. Pulte has no sympathy for the homeowner. This is like having a car in the shop every other day. Buyer beware!!!!
