FUCK UP SHIT

Poor product, poor service. This builder actually, under guise of REPAIR, entered my home and STOLE a window to 'meet with new HOA rules' AFTER I CLOSED! Recurring water problems. Would NEVER recommend.

Lots of polish, lacking substance

DR Horton cut a lot of corners in the construction of these condos. They included finishes within the unit that would make it look great for potential buyers, but neglected the things that wouldn't show up until later. For instance, the insulation between the units is terrible. I can hear the dogs in another unit barking as well as another unit's occupant singing opera, badly, at 11pm as I am trying to sleep. They bulit a fireplace and included wiring for a blower. HOwever, when we had a blower installer come to look, he said that there was not a box that enclosed the fireplace. Therefore, Heat would be blown into the empty wall space. In addition, he said that there was potential for carbon monoxide to be blown into the living space because of the orientation and lack of ventilation for the fireplace. We experienced flooding in our ground level and garage because of the oversight of the builder to inspect our neighbor's condensation drainage, which ended up leaking through our walls and carpet. They fixed the problem, but right from the start, our house was damaged. The dishwasher was not properly installed and took several attempts to get it fixed. I have enjoyed living in this home and this neighborhood. However, there were so many phone calls that had to be made during the warranty period. The handling of the problems were very much on their time schedule - hardly any consideration was made for our needs. Once the serviceman showed up to my home without a phone call at 8 am before I was dressed and expected entry. I feel like we seriously overpaid for the product that we received.

Beware of DR Horrible--your complaints will fall on deaf ears

I don't even know where to begin with the problems. Our salesperson Bobbi was one of the rudest people we had ever met, and lied to us over and over. When problems arose it was a major effort to get someone to come out and fix them. We have been in this home for 4 years now and our garage fills up with water with every rain and snowfall. Our windows had made a terrible, loud pitched squeeching noise, and now each time the wind blows out here our shingles literally fly off of our roof. My complaints have fallen on deaf ears, they could care less. Our driveway is scaling off as the cement was poured in cold weather and now has many cracks as well. When workers came out during the short warranty period they were best described as the Three Stooges working as they accidently knocked holes in our drywall, broke our tile, touched up woodwork with incorrect colors, on and on. I will never recommend nor purchase a DR Horrible home again. They boast that they are number #1 in sales, however, they fail to tell people, they are #2 in complaints.

We moved into a spec home. The person we did our final walkthrough with quit that same day, after we met with him. The next person who filled his shoes did a walkthrough with us, then, the same week, we found out that he also no longer worked for the company. The next person they put us into contact with (we had a list of about 15 things wrong with the house) was very young and inexperienced and all he could do was try to appease us. We have called their Denver headquarters multiple times, even visited them once, and have been scooted along from person to person, and so on. We have had this home for a year and a half now, and we are still waiting for them to come by and fix things. Our one-year aesthetic warranty is up, but we are still holding them to fix what aesthetic things they said they would fix over a year ago. What we have heard from the workmen they send out to fix things is that they usually either got the wrong job description or they were not told enough information about it. This has definitely been a factor in preventing certain things being fixed. We are leaning toward fixing the things wrong with the house by ourselves and selling the house at a $20K to $50K loss.

We recently purchased a new homein Aurora and have had nothing but problems sense the beginning. Issues include, 2 days before closing walkthrough when was support to be a week in advance. missing keys to getting the floor fixed before we move in. Pour workmen ship you find AFTER you buy the home and then it?s a struggle to get anyone to fix them. Leaking Windows during rain storms. And they will tell you they will leak after the fact. they find the cheapest solution to resolve the problem for the time being. I love my house but will NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!!
