I was recently the victim of bad business by a fairly large builder in Greeley/Evans. We were under contract on a new home for over 2 months. We came down to closing and the builder decided to walk away because he failed to account for all closing costs and that he was "losing too much money." I am now in the process of suing him for damages, including an upgraded bathtub which I paid for out of pocket and the cost of the appraisal. This builder has refused to cooperate and only after receiving a letter from my attorney has he contacted me. Not only was he in breach of contract; he told me that I should "eat it as a business man" and that he did not have to sell his house if he didn't want to, regardless of the contract. I feel that it is my responsibility to let everyone in the community know about this builder and his complete disregard for a purchase contract and a buyer's well being.

The owner of Luckeroth Development Company was rude, inconsiderate, uncooperative, and the only reason we got the house built the way we wanted was because I had to watch the building process from day 1. He never knew the floor plan we purchased, we had to bring our contract with him to the brink of bringing an attorney on board to get things that he promised, and we had to double-check everything since he would always pull the line "this was not in the original contract" when it most certainly was. Avoid this builder at all costs!
