Walkthrough showed several items and issues that took more than five months to complete. Electrical outlets where not hooked-up, laundry attachments where inappropriately installed resulting in a ceiling leak that took over two months to fix. Landscaping is horrendous, inadequate grading has resulted in over 50% of backyard flooded with water less than four feet from house. After over a year of promises that this will be fixed once the next phase of construction in the development begins, they still have not done anything I still have considerable amount of water in the backyard, which has precluded me from building a deck. As a matter of fact the next phase of construction has worsen the problem by dirt mounds at the site limiting the drainage and run-off, therefore, increasing the amount of water. I would never buy or recommend Curtis to anyone looking a building a home.

Ten of the homeowners at Riverside Farms in Great Mills, Maryland filed complaints in October 2003 with the Attorney General of the State of Maryland. To date issues remain unresolved. Some of these homes were constructed over a year ago - and issues that were on the pre-closing walk through are still un-resolved.

Several home owners in one of Curtis' communities had to group together and contact the Attorney General to get any action out of Curtis to fix problems after moving into our homes. Even after that many problems not addressed. 10 day list still not serviced 10 months after ownership. Builder never returned calls during the build phase.
