There were and are so many problems I can't begin to describe them all. The fireplace didn't work, the marble facade was stained and chipped. The electrical was not up to code and the outlets sparked whenever we used them. (among other issues) They denied it. I wrote them that I was afraid of a fire. They ignored it. The wall started to glow and smolder. It was warm to the touch and the house started to smell smokey. I called for emergency service....Suddenly they were able to find and fix the problem-after the mini-fire and after I hired an independent electrician to document the code and other defects. The whirlpool tub never worked. It took them about 5 months to put in a new one. The electric garage door didn't work. The exterior doors did not lock. They "fixed" the locks 2x before they worked partially. They still don't work well. Now the ac ducts don't work-no air comes out of most of them. Each service request takes weeks to get a response and several visits over several weeks and months to get the problems fixed. There a big cracks in the walls and molding. There are gaps between the wall and the "wall to wall" carpet. (The foreman told me the carpet shrunk due to cold weather before I moved in but it would stretch back out. Hmmmm.) I would rather live in my old 1981 townhouse than this crappy 400k condo/town.

Build fast and use cheap labor. House has a lot of minor problems to fix. I would not buy another house from Craftmark .

Have lived in my 800K country club "dream" home for 1 yr, 6mths and my 60 day and 1 yr walk thru lists are not done. Of the 60+ issues reported, I have had fire damage as a result of a builder installed hot water heater that they will not repair because I refuse to sign off on an incomplete 60 day walk thru list and they will not even respond to my 1 yr list until i again sign off on an incomplete 60 day list. Another item on my list pertains to an electrical issue where the lights come on and off, power surges take place in random areas of the house, night lights have melted in the sockets and lights and TV?s turn on randomly. I have also had several areas of un repaired water damage from faulty installed pipes and appliances. I had been forced to call my county building inspector 2 times to report and get resolved drainage issues and a new hot water heater. I have many times escalated my concerns with the one site supervisor up through Craftstar Customer service only to have to deal with him once again. Finally, I had given up hope in getting anything resolved and created an informational website for new homeowners where I have the name of the builder in my website domain name and I?m now being sued by my builder over the site and for breach of my sales contract because I refuse to sign off on an incomplete 60 day walk thru list. Other than dealing with 1 customer service rep, the on site superintendent and their Attorney's I have heard from no-one else higher up in the company who has simply asked.. "how can we help get these issues resolved?"
