Do not buy with Middle Earth

If you are reading this, by chance, in an attempt to learn about Middle Earth and whether you should buy a condo in their latest project. I sincerely hope you reconsider. Please consider another property/project. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have not purchased with Middle Earth. They are very untruthful and do not complete projects on time and as contracted. Please, please do not sign a contract with them.

When they speak, it's lies and fabrications that fit the moment and allow escape from accountability. It's clear they are having money problems. Workers share they move onto new projects without completing the last one to obtain new funding. Then they go back only when owners get loud enough and unify against them. My advice is to not purchase a property from these folks unless everything is 100% perfect, inspected to meet all codes (as they don't seem to know them and build to meet them) and the project is 100% complete. Unfortunately, there's not a single condo project by these folks that's complete to this date, even after 5-6+ years. I've been living in my condo for 2 1/2 years and the garage in the basement is still months away from being finished. I get to park a block away from my building and walk vs inside the building. That's not what I paid for and I'm pretty skeptical they'll ever deliver.

I closed and moved into my new condo on December 19th and realized immediately my shower was very narrow and the grout on the floor tile began cracking. I complained to MED through March until I called the local building inspector. On March 22nd, the building inspector informed MED they must completely redo my bathroom as several items were out of code. On May 22nd, MED began demolition of my only shower. Today is June 16th and I have no way to shower or bath in my home. MED is not responding to update requests and completion information. Workers has spent approximately 45 minutes on my bathroom this week. At this time my only recourse is to share my experience with everyone. This once again confirms they do a terrible job of completing projects.

Not to be trusted. Unprofessional practices, misrepresents product. Our unit shrank from 1050 sq-ft listed on our purchase agreement to 900 sq-ft when the walls went up. They refused to compensate us in any way for the loss of square footage. We had to litigate in-order for them to even talk to us. Building completion is a year over-due as of 5/24/05. Run!!!

Not to be trusted - I have a square footage issue that they have failed to correct among other issues. Customers are routinely ignored. CompanY is mismanged and they are not to be trusted. Steer clear if possible. The final product may be decent, however it is not worth the headaches. The project I am involved with is more than 1 year overdue for completion.

Do not trust Middle Earth. Do not trust Middle Earth. This is a terribly managed, unethical company. I have not met one satisfied customer of their service. The condos come out OK, but it's quite possibly the worst experience you can put yourself through.

The builders realtor is one of the worst, most unethical people I have ever dealt with. If you can avoid making a deal with her, run like a typhoon survivor. MED itself has been fair with me. I am certainly NOT happy with all of the problems I have had with my unit and maybe I am naive, but I hope MED will work to improve their customer service. The changes in the roof top deck are deplorable. I attributue a great deal of those misleading statements to the above mentioned realtor.

I cannot adequately relay my experiences in such a short forum. Possibly the worst experience of my life. Unscrupulous, inept, inexcusable, un-apologetic, criminal. Those are a few of the words I would use to describe Middle Earth Developers. Since they use the bottom of the barrel sub-contractors, I would not trust the integrity of any of their buildings. Tiling work done improperly, and re-done again, plumbing problems, roof problems, upgraded finishes not done as described, public areas not finished as presented...delay, upon delay...Year 2, garage still not finished.And all without one single apology. To quote the previous rater...Run faster!

I would prefer to have a root-canal without novocain. At least that would be faster and infinitely more enjoyable than working with this bunch. Their realtor should have her license revoked. I'm not happy at all.
