Carolina Heritage Builders of Matthews NC sold us a defective home.

Builder sold us a defective home and refused to make repairs, leaving us with a poorly built home that does not meet minimum building code. Purchasing a home from this builder has destroyed us financially and we've been working for over 2 years trying to pay contractors to fix it.

We Regret Buying A Home From Carolina Heritage Builders of Matthews, NC

Builder sold us a new home with numerous code violations. They refuse to fix the existing problems, both major and minor. Home has sloping and wavy floors. Most of the floors throughout creak horribly. House had large amount of standing water underneath. Foundation not damp-proofed. Had to pay thousands to install a french drain. Numerous other problems exist, too many to list here. Builder refuses to repair, instead insists on arbitration. They sold us the home warrantied by HBW 2-10 Warranty (research before you buy). Given our experience, I can not possibly recommend this builder to anyone. We definitely regret buying a home from this builder. Visit our house online and see why, http://picasaweb.google.com/shoddywork. This has been the absolute worse mistake we have ever made. We have wwned two other homes, no major problems. But this house has serious problems. Builder hides behind his attorney instead of fixing the house. Builder suggests we go to arbitration. Research American Arbitration Association and see why builders put it in their contracts. We are having to spend 10's of thousands to fix the house and living in a home that is "under construction". Totally ridiculous, as this is a new home.
