Keystone customer service- below industry standard

We did not close on this Keystone built home because the windows were not flashed (only taped) BEFORE they were installed behind brick and siding. The manufacturer instructions were not followed and this does not meet state building codes. They also charge an extra $1000 for Tyvek house wrap and they did not follow the manufacturer instructions for that either. Even if they offered to fix it, I don't want to live in a neighborhood where other houses are built this way and lose value when they start to fall apart. Last year, Charleston county building inspectors made them tear down the siding and put up a moistue barrier as no felt paper or tyvek was put up between the OSB and siding. A huge code violation and an invitation to rot. The worst part about this builder is their customer service. They don't allow phase inspections. They don't give you any progress reports on the house. They don't give any walk-throughs or access to the construction property EVER! Insurance Regs my rear! The girls in the office are nice, but they don't know anything about construction and Keystone policy does not allow you to talk to the builder EVER! Does this not seem evasive to you? I have spoken to other builders in the area, and they can't believe what I am telling them about how Keystone builds and sells houses. I have also done some digging and I have read some accounts on how people have had to get legal representation to get Keystone to show some accountability and fix the problems in their homes. I guess if the service was as bad as what I saw before the home was closed on, I can only imagine how bad it would be after the sale... Keystone is based out of Richmond Virginia.
