Lies

The sales rep lied to us about several things. He said there would be a fence around the subdivision and that was a lie. He basically told us anything that would shut us up and then he was gone. American Heritage did not follow through on things that were promised by the salesperson. The quality of the finished work was just OK nothing outtanding.

Amercian Heritage Homes

Amercian Heritage was great to work with and has great quality. It is also very easy to get ahold of the Vice President Terry if you need him and he will address your concerns. The customer service rep Crystal is very prompt as well. We have needed service and they are very prompt to come and fix the problem.

Will not follow through when issues arise. It has been a horribly frustrating experience.

We have had many problems with this builder. They dug up our driveway about 7 months after we had been in our house. They told us about this 5 months after we moved in, asked us if we prefer this to be done before or after we get sod, we said before we got sod. The day after we got sod we came home to find our driveway and part of our yard dug up. They threw the sod they tore up on other parts of our yard - thus killing that sod too. When fixing the driveway they poured rock all over our yard where they had pulled up the sod, they also threw food wrappers in this area. I called AH and complained about this whole thing and told them to make sure the gravel was removed and the food wrappers were removed before we got sod. The next day we had sod. I lifted up the sod and found it was put down directly on the gravel and food wrappers. We recently did some landscaping. We found food wrappers, construction debri in the ground. We had a clog in our 2nd story gutter. I climbed up there to find a chalk line tool stuck in the downspot. We have had many many more problems and will not build with this company again. We also have a horrible time getting anybody to return our calls and address an issue we have.

www.american-heritagehomes-reviews.com and soon www.amhhomes-reviews.com Our home has a cracked foundation, sunken and cracked garage floor, huge cracks in the driveway, and the sub floor is loose in virtually every part of our home. The builder promised to repair our defects, but after a half hearted attempt just stopped working, and threatened to sue us after posting a web site documenting our problems.
