I bought my home in the Ridgecrest addition in Watauga,Texas. The land that the homes are built on is solid rocks and a little bit of clay. There used to be a stock pond on the property fed by natural springs. My back yard stays soggy all the way across the back of my home. It smells awful. Nothing can be planted such as trees , it takes about an hour to dig out enough rock to plant a one gallon tree. The builder will do nothing for the drainage problem. I had to spend $2800.00 to drain the back yard properly. When it comes to warranty work you have to ask and ask and ask. Month after month, you can leave a message at the sales office but to no avail. Alamo homes never returns calls once you have closed on your home. The company owner is (edited) but you are not allowed to call him, they will not give you his phone number. I have hated my home because no one will stand behind it. I asked nicely for 9 months for warranty repairs and I finally had to go psycho on them and threaten them. Finally a few things got repaired. But they did such a lousey job of repairing that I wished I had fixed all of the things myself. The Rigecrest addition in Watauga is a lousy place to live. Dont buy an Alamo Home. You will have your dreams shattered and feel cheated.
