"BUYERS BEWARE
they used a wood sub-floor in the basement and decided not to place a diaper system in the crawl space because it would hold the moisture under the plastic vapor barrier and the condensation would cause structual damage. Village Homes of Colorado also built the home with indoor OSB in the basement instead of outdoor OSB.
The builder has not completed the mold remediation that they started on my home in May of 2002. The builder also told me that mold can not make you sick and left me in the house during the failed remediation. The builder said that the home was safe to live in. I had it tested again for mold in July of 2002, right after the failed remediation. The industrial hygenist found mold in the walls and in the basement and crawlspace. The house has now been empty since June of 2002. I have had over 50 calls on the home but no offers were made because of the mold. As of today I am still very ill and I am 100% disabled.I can no longer live the life I once loved! I want the builder to fix the mold issues and the drainage issues. I was told during litigation that Village Homes of Colorado built the drainage system to drain beneath my home into the crawl space. If that is where the water is coming in from then I will always have mold in my crawlspace and in my home. If you care about the well being of your family, do not put them in a Village Home!!!
