I question the authenticity of the prior 3 reviews. This builder is one to avoid. Within the last year, two negative articles have been published in the Atlanta Journal Constition. The first, dealing with a home in Eagle Ridge off of Barnes Mill Road in Marietta, had severe foundation issues. The owner could not drive into her garage for fear part of the house would give way to the hill behind it. Although the owner prevailed in arbitration (a rare occurence) Venture would not take responsibility to repair or replace the house. Perhaps this was completed later after the article was published, however, no follow up was ever done by the paper. The second AJC article dealt with Waterdance subvision off of Stilesboro Road in Kennesaw. Venture promised a green space with nature trails but at the completion of the subdivision they never finished the trails as proposed. They did put down some trails, but they frequently encroached on lots, did not follow the original map, and were littered with construction debris. Other instances included the installation of utility grade LP siding. Utility grade consists of blems and siding that failed to meet LP quality standards. This affected some of the early homeowners in Eagle Glen subdivision in 1994-1995. Homeowners that had this siding and that applied for relief under the class action lawsuit against LP had their claims denied. The utility grade siding had been sold without warranty and therefore was not eligible to be replaced under the classaction lawsuit. I advise you to seek references from those who have purchased homes and have been in them for a year before signing a contract. The best predictor of the future is the past.

Venture Homes is one of the best builders in Georgia. I bought a Venture Home in 2001 though I didn't have to go through the waiting process of my home because I had bought it when it was finished. To my surprise, after I had moved in, there were no structural problems with the home. It's been 4 years now and no problems. I was also very surprised and delighted about how my house settled well. My home didn't have any settling problems. I love the layout of my home and I even got spacious bedrooms and bathrooms with double sinks in Master and upstairs Jack-n-Jill bathroom for a good price. Over all I am very pleased with my home experience. thank God for Venture Homes. Venture Homes give you good quality home for the price.
