Paul Thomas Homes are Not "Built to Make You Feel Good Inside"

To see the lack of quality in both the materials and construction, go to the site below: http://www.mwcleveland.com/JamesCreek There you will see wood that is split from top to bottom, rotten, covered with mold, eatten by insects, ... The first two pictures are of the outside vertical supports in the basement. Only half of them touch the floor. Even with the weight of the 1st and 2nd floors and the roof, the supports do not settle down. They are so high off the ground, I can look between the bottom of the support and the floor and see the rear wall of the basement. Therefore I hired an inspector to review the framing while it was still being built. He stated this was the worst construction he had ever seen. After forwarding his report to Paul Thomas, I was told several of the issues met Code Requirements. They based this on an outdated code book. Since I refused to accept their response, Paul Thomas hired a structural enginner to examine the house. He said most of the material was "installed per manufacturer’s recommendations". However, the engineer did not inspect the house. Instead it was his assistant. I can only assume the builder either is not suppervising the work or does not care about the quality of the houses he is building. Their current marketing campaign is "Every Paul Thomas Home is Built to Make You Feel Good Inside". The only time I felt good was when I first looked at the subdivision and selected a floorplan.
