Newmark @ Crawford Farms--Poor Quality, Lousy Grading

Newmark does not use ANY soil amendments before laying sod (superintendent later told me, "show me in your contract where it says we have to"). My backyard is full of hills, valleys, and ruts. My fence is unstable and sections have already fallen down (after just past a year so the Warranty is no longer in effect). I have FIFTEEN sprinkler heads on one zone (yes, I complained...but Newmark's answer to just about everything is "this is 'standard application' in Texas). Don't get me started on the cracks in my driveway and garage floor. We've had other quality problems inside the house that we've had to demand repair and stay on the builder until resolved. Also, the Newmark salesperson was definitely dishonest in a number of her remarks. As far as the Crawford Farms community goes, it's nice, but could be a whole lot better. If you have children, I would recommend considering the Heritage community (which borders Crawford Farms); the amenities, especially the swimming pools, makes Crawford Farms amenities look like a joke. The Homeowner's Association is very slack...numerous owners are using rock dug up from their backyards to edge the front borders of their house. Very, very tacky looking.

If someone asked me if they should buy a Newmark home, I'd tell them no way. Our house had many delays..the communication between buyer and builder was horrible. The salesman would tell us one thing and something else would happen. We moved into a dirty/unfinished house after selling our home too soon and living in a hotel for 7 weeks. I will say that things are being done to finish the house but it's been an uphill battle trying to get it done. The turn-over rate is horrible with this company. We had 4 different head builders during the time our house was being built. It has been a total nightmare for us getting this house built and finished. We're in Frisco, TX.

I had a wonderful experience with Newmark Homes as the builder of our new home. They're very good at paying special attention to the littlest details within your home, and the customer service we received from our salesperson really made us feel special. We recently closed, and have been able to get immediate response from the builder regarding a few minor things. I would highly recommend building a home through this builder.
