MARONDA BUILDS POOR QUALITY HOMES

I purchased this house after it was built, but during first walk through, I noticed many problems. Roof was wavey and had many dips and lumps. Had this repaired prior to closing. Roofers ripped up shingles and tar paper in problem spots and reinstalled. After it was reinstalled it almost looked as bad as before. The soffit was not installed with a level and it was pitching toward the house, so when it rained, the water ran down the fascia and down the soffit to the house. The garage ceiling look has many waves and lumps. The interior paint is thin in places and you see shades of the drywall coming through. In the wet areas where the paint is semi-gloss, you see many flat spots. Wood kitchen cabinet had scratches. On the outside sides of the house the stucco is so thin that you can see the cement lines between the concrete blocks. Garage floor has many cracks.

We bought our house on december 2005 and after the closing they were supose to fix many things in the house and we had a hard time that they sent people to fix it. We still waiting that they sent somebody to fix scrash windows, gavinets broken, last night I found that the wall in the kitchen is spliding in two parts also the wood in the stairs, this is a nightmare. I will never want to buy a house with Maronda. Customer service they do not care about you they always said somebody will call you to fix the issue here I am waiting for months for inresponsable people. We are going to sell this house because we do not want to see more walls destroy and more defects everywhere. this is a very depress situation and I advise to everybody please do not buy house with maronda homes go to other building take care your invesment and do not expend your money in a house that you see a big house but does not have any quality inside anywhere.

I could not possibly begin to describe the horrible experience I had with Maronda. If I tried to write it all down, it would become a novel with no high points. Every single aspect of my experience with Maronda was and continues to be terrible. I will never, under any circumstances, buy a Maronda home again. I wish I would have bailed when I had the opportunity. I would advise anyone thinking of Maronda to run, don't walk, away from this builder. I am in Palm Bay Florida--I hope their other branches around the country perform on a higher level than my local one. From the first day I walked into the sales office, throughout the buidling process, and upon completion of my home, I had MAJOR problems.

We purchased our house in June of 2004. We were told it would take four months to build our home. The house was finished in haste on Feb 28, 2005. We were put in a position of living with friends for nine months and moving multiple times. I was scheduled to be out of town the afternoon of the close and Maronda would not move the closing date to accomodate the situation due to fees they would incur if the close went into March - never mind our situation and costs we have incurred thus far. We were rushed through our inspections and had nine items left to finish before they considered the house finished. As of March 23, we are still waiting for someone to fix all these items. After living in the house for a week, we identified several other items that were not easily visible during the rushed inspections. We have contacted Maronda four times at this point and I have not heard any comment from them except that our e-mail was forwarded. Just a note about the lawns...in Deltona, they only provide a portion of the sod for your lawn and cler a portion of the lot behind the house. I am having to pay $2000 to finish clearing my lot and sodding my backyard. If you plan to use this builder, check on this or you may be in for an expensive surprise. They have no customer support or way to contact anyone. The only point of customer contact is a voice-mail or e-mail. There are no customer service contacts on their web site. They claim they are building so many homes they can not service them all. They need to hire more staff and charge a little more for the home. I have built with Moranda twice now - one for price and the other for layout. I had horrible experiences twice. I will never use this builder again. I don't reccomend this builder to anyone, unless you absolutely can not beat the price...remember the price of stress can be more than money!

Maronda has been unable to finish any of the work they have started. They could care less how many days of work you miss for their workers to come but they never show up. They continue to "replace" division managers that never get the work done. We have spent hours upon hours trying to get work completed on our home and it just doesn't seem like they care. Once you have purchased the home you might as well forget about Maronda showing back up. Windows leak, concrete took 10 months to be selaed so now our entire house has concrete dust all over. The outside of our house looks like a ten year old home but it is less than 1 year - drive by and see patched stucco with no paint - a replaced (after flooding the house 3 times) front door - with no paint. If you have lots of money to waste and lots of time to sit and wait Maronda might be okay for your builder but if you want a nice home built professionally in a timely manner, go to another builder.
