Our Views On New Construction of Flordia Waterfront Homes.

Upon signing a construction contract, all data was shared weekly via email and phone calls. As the closing date approached, and we visited for a physical inspection, we found a few structural issues inside that needed attention as 50% of the carpentry work was subcontracted out. The builder, Mark, was very responsive to our concerns, and the crown moldings were corrected within 48-hrs to our satisfaction. I would strongly recommend this contractor to anyone who is bulding a waterfront single family home in the St Pete-Tampa-Clearwater area as well as South of St Pete Beach & North of Clearwater Beach as well. We were also very pleased with the options that were made available for our home regarding an inlaw apartment/living quarters that are seperate yet within our home. They were very accomodating.

I do not recommend anyone to hire Mark Maconi Homes to build their house. The entire staff is incompetent in the field of designing a house and helping in product selection. Our development has been graded wrong and now has severe drainage issues. All lots in which Maconi Homes are building are not kept clean so we have many coyotes causing havoc in the neighborhood. Five months after moving in, we still have half the punch list to be completed. When comfronted about all the problems that I and 6 other families had with Mark Maconi Homes, the owner, simply says "We have other clients who are repeat customers so I think your problems are your own." From top to bottom, beginning to end, Mark Maconi Homes rates 1 out of 10. For all who buld a new house, DO YOUR RESEARCH about every single detail of your house BEFORE you hire the builder
