BUYING NEW?? GET A HOME INSPECTOR ANYWAY!!!

The Norris group I think can build good homes. I bought the model furnished. Everyone around me would always tell me that I'm buying the best home because as the model home it was more than likely built precisely by contractors to the builders specifications. If you are buying a new construction,GET A HOME INSPECTOR OUT THERE!!!!! JUST PAY THE MONEY AND HAVE IT DONE SO HE/SHE CAN FIND THOSE SMALL OR LARGE IMPERFECTIONS YOU MAY NOT NOTICE OR SAVVY ENOUGH TO LOOK FOR WHERE BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS LIKE TO "CUT CORNERS" TO SAVE A BUCK AND CREATE A HEADACHE FOR YOU DOWN THE ROAD. Well 9 months later and I'm still noticing very small imperfections here and there that I did not notice because I was so "wowed" by the interior decorators work and would not have noticed until moving into the home. Exterior door cut a little uneven, water heater that makes a loud boom-boom sound as if setiment from building got into the thing causing this annoying noise. Electrical wiring holes in the ceiling were off-centered to where at a certain angle I notice the spot paint work. I can see this patch, but only at a certain time of day when we let sunlight in. One mis-matched door hinge on the door leading to the garage. A bathroom door handle where the outside handle is brushed nickel and the inside handle on the same door is chrome. I hate the fact that the interior walls are not insulated to cut sound from the tv in the other bedroom next door. (Kind of wish I went with a DB Horton Home for great energy and insulation products they use in those homes. But overall I can say in the last nine months I am pretty happy with the home. I am surprise how the home stays a comfortable 70 degrees. During times when the temperature outside would reach 10 degrees at night, without help from the heater it would get no colder then 60-62 inside. Remeber just because it is a new home does not always mean it is a WELL BUILT HOME. GET THAT INSPECTION!!!!
