beware of subcontractors doing work for builders

I would suggest anyone hiring a builder ask all the families around the community and search on the internet about their reviews of them, including their reputation as a builder. Ask if they do their job in a timely manner, and how well they do their job. Do they subcontract out to other companies for some of their work done, and how reputable are these other subcontractors. The problem that I ran into was that the builder had subcontracted out to another company for the wiring and plumbing to be done. The builder had to wait til he took his own sweet time to do his work before the contractor could do theirs. When the builder came back to finish a job he had started he found that the wiring was not done right, nor was the plumbing...held up things a great deal!!!!
