WE bought our home in October 2003 and have had many problems since then. We have over 100 cracks on the inside and outside of our home including cracks in the walls ceilings, fireplace, bricks , sidewalk, and in the FOUNDATION. The builder's engineer said there was nothing wrong but normal settling and drying out of the wood. The engineer that we hired said that the foundation is imploding and that a portion of the garage needs to be demolished and re-built. When Gehan hired another engineer to do measurements, they drilled down under our house to check the soil content. They found WATER UNDERNEATH OUR FOUNDATION. Gehan had the nerve to suggest that we move out of our home with our furniture, kids, and pets to a motel so they could put drain pipes all around and under the house and so they could re-construct the inside of the house! We suggested they buy back the house and they agreed. Then, a few days later we were told that the president of the company decided not to buy our home back. WE told them that we would be forced to sue them and were told that he is a lawyer and would take his chances in court. Our home is still moving and we frequently see new cracks developing. It is a shame that we put our life-savings into this home and this company can be so arrogant. They make hundreds of millions of dollars taking advantage of people who can't afford to fight them.
