Nine months after we closed, the self-proclaimed "President" of the one-man company, Spring Valley Homes still hasn't paid our subcontractors. Not only that, he has closed his office, moved his family, and no longer answers his phone. I'm sure the Waukesha, Milwaukee, and Racine County Sheriff's Departments will have an easier time finding him than his dissatisfied customers and creditors do. We've reported him to the Milwaukee Metro Builder's Assoc (where he was a member during our project), which is a joke. They only offered us the privelege of waiving all of our legal rights to pursue arbitration. Wanna read something funny, check out the reasons to use an MBA builder at www.mbaonline.org...."dedication to professionalism and strong business ethics....ultimately its the consumer that benefits from these association safeguards and initiatives." I almost fell out of my chair laughing. This guy's been ripping off people for years (just look at his C-CAP report on the WI Court Access Website) and the MBA has done nothing about it. The MBA is just a club for builders. Pay your dues and you're a member.
