Disgusted Homeowner

Warranty issues took months to resolve. A deck was torn up for most of the summer and the furniture for it sat in our bedroom. The finish work on the repair was deplorable and the solution was to just put more caulking on it so you couldn't see the poor workmanship under it. We had finished the deck with stain that they sanded off and did not replace it. Had to replace a portion of the stairs to basement because of faulty installation and this was only done after a threat of a lawsuit. Many of the houses in the area should have been walk-out basements rather than these steep lots that required retaining walls before it could be landscaped. The warranty person was not honest about what was going on and discounted the concerns of the homeowners. He made many enemies in the community. There were unfinished walls that just had primer on them and I was told that it was our responsibility to paint them. It was hard to notice this because we had white walls. Would not install sump pump it pit even though the pit continually filled.
