Take a look at KC Classic before you buy

You will rarely if ever communicate directly with this builder. Which is fine since he has an agent that acts as his mouthpiece. John builds a great home. It typically does not have all the bells and whistles of homes in more expensive neighborhoods, but you can add these features yourself for far less than it would cost to purchase a home in one of those other neighborhoods. KC Classic is by far the best value for the money in the Northland. Take a look at the other builders around and you'll see what I'm talking about. If you're patient and compile a list of the items you need repaired, all of them will be addressed after one year. At least that was our experience. I think some other reviewers need to realize that the builder is not going to return every other day to fix a ding in your drywall. Anyway, the home is great!

Best house for the money in the Northland. I have now been here one year and the few problems I had were seen to right away. It's true they don't answer the phone and the house wasn't ready on time but what you get in the end is a very attractive home with a lot of extras all in one package. (They don't nickel and dime ya here) I would buy from KC Classics again!

My wife and I are totally disappointed in the quality of our home. And getting the items fixed is impossible as apparently nothing is covered under the builder's warranty!

Great craftsmanship, and a lot of extras for the great price. We'll look at another of their homes next time we move!

K.C. Classic makes a good home. However, there was absolutely no communication between us and the builder during the process. They had 8 months to complete the house and still had to rush at the end to get it done. Plan on doing all the leg work yourself and complain constantly and loudly to get anything done. If you do these things, (which I did) this builder will give you a fine home. Also, the home was by no means in a presentable condition for the final walkthrough. A great home, but this builder needs to learn how to finish things as well as he starts them.

Overall disappointing results. Problems with sod not installed on time. Bathtub needs replacement, no communication. Countertop not secured properly. Hard to get a hold of, even harder getting anything done about problems.
