The family-owned firm builds, owns, and manages apartment buildings. Founded in 1921, Edward Rose operates throughout the Midwest (primarily in Michigan and Indiana) and manages about 57 million sq. ft. of property, or more than 60,000 apartments. Subsidiary Edward Rose/Occidental Development builds apartments in Indiana, Ohio, and Virginia. Some of its complexes offer one- to three-bedroom furnished corporate suites for businesses. The company's strategy is to build its properties, manage them long-term, and maintain 100% ownership.
