Company Overview
In 1952, Don Borror borrowed $800 from his wife to build their first home. He then sold it the following year. That was the beginning of a 50 year history of building affordable, high-quality new homes.

In the early 70's, Don's sons, Doug and David, joined the company that by 1984 became known as The Borror Corporation and, ultimately, Dominion Homes.

Since 1988, the Company has substantially increased its sales and market share in and around Columbus, Ohio, from 313 closings in 1988 to more than 2,500 in 2005. In 1994, Dominion Homes became a publicly-traded company (NASDAQ DHOM) and raised over $24 million in equity in order to continue its dramatic growth. In 1997, Dominion Homes expanded outside the central Ohio market to Louisville, Kentucky and in 2003, to Lexington. The company employs over 400 people.

Today, Dominion Homes is one of the leading homebuilders in Columbus Ohio, and among the top 30 builders in the country.
