Pricing and Estimating
This is our specialty. Duke McDowell has served as a consultant for 14 of the nation's largest home building companies. We know the correct questions to ask. This is very important when drafting the necessary specifications for architectural planning and budgeting. Our sophisticated software programs allow us to determine the exact price of your home within 48 hours.
Interior Design
We have strong working relationships with Austin's most prominent design firms. It is important that attention to detail be given, along with the correct supervision and coordination, to ensure that you will be very proud of your new home.
Organization
In addition to a 27-page specification sheet, an itemized cost sheet and weekly production schedule, Sterling Custom Homes, Inc. has devised a comprehensive "Cookbook" for your use during the building process. It explains, step by step, the selection process that you will be involved in and includes detailed instructions, a list of our vendors and location maps for your convenience.

Quality Control
Our management team has a combined total of over 100 years of construction experience, giving you the benefit of several "eyes" looking over your project. Duke McDowell personally walks every job site on a regular basis during the construction process. In a weekly construction meeting, the entire Sterling staff gathers to discuss the current status of each project and, from a team perspective, troubleshoot any problems that have arisen. Both during and after construction, attention is given to even the smallest detail. Warranty items are promptly and professionally addressed by our in-house Warranty Manager.
